Presentation on Elwha Legacy Forests and "Power Plant" Timber Sale. Old-Growth for Future Generations. On Aug. 24, 6-7:30pm, Port Angeles Library, Carver Room, 2210 S. Peabody. WendyRae Johnson, soil advocate/climate solutions educator, and Elizabeth Dunne, Esq., Director of Legal Advocacy, Earth Law Center, will present on the movement to protect legacy forests on lands managed by the WA Dept. of Natural Resources and the value of these forests in the Elwha Watershed. Special attention will be given to the "Power Plant" timber sale near the Elwha River and bordering the Olympic Adventure Trail and the trail to the old lower dam site.
