Help Plant a New Rain Garden in Port Hadlock

On Friday, September 23rd, the Jefferson County Marine Resources Committee and WSU Extension are seeking volunteers to help plant a new rain garden behind the WSU Extension building (121 Oak Bay Rd) in Port Hadlock. Once established, this rain garden will help to collect and treat stormwater flowing from nearby roads, parking lots, and building rooftops before making its way to South Port Townsend Bay. We would like volunteers to sign up for shifts, but feel free to come late or leave early if you need to! The shifts are from 9:30am–12pm, 12:30–3:30pm and 3:30-6:30pm. Find more information and sign-up here.
