The North Olympic Salmon Coalition will be hosting a planting event on both Saturday, January 28th and Sunday, January 29 at the site of a recently constructed side channel on the Dungeness River a few miles upstream of Hwy 101.
The North Olympic Salmon Coalition is partnering with the Jamestown S'Klallam Tribe on this amazing project. The Tribe has created a nearly 1000'-long side channel to benefit native salmon, and our task is to revegetate the site with several thousand native trees and shrubs.
Come join us for one or both days. Plantings will begin at 10 am and will run until 2:30, when we'll have a guided tour of the site. If you'd like to participate in salmon stewardship in a beautiful riverfront location, please click the link below to register. Hot drinks and delicious snacks will be on hand. We hope to see you there!
