The Port Townsend Marine Science Center presents Kevin Long, project manager for the North Olympic Salmon Coalition, as part of the Future of Oceans lecture series.

The program will showcase upcoming river restoration work on the Olympic Peninsula. The solutions to repairing these reaches will serve as a jumping off point to begin to explore stream evolution, just what happened to the reaches, why they evolved to look the way they do now, and how they can be restored to some of their previous glory to the benefit of fish, wildlife and people.

The lecture is at the Fort Worden Chapel on Sunday, January 29, 2023, at 3 p.m.

To keep this series accessible to all, regardless of the ability to pay, there is no set charge for the event; however, donations are always welcomed and appreciated.
