Are you hoping to spend this Earth Day doing something that will have a lasting impact on our local environment?
Join the North Olympic Salmon Coalition for a fun, family-friendly, community-filled day of mulching (and possibly some planting) on the scenic Dungeness River, April 22nd from 10am-2pm. NOSC’s dedicated volunteers and Washington Conservation Corps Crew have planted nearly 7,000 trees and shrubs for the revegetation efforts at the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe’s new side channel this winter. The Caldero side channel provides nearly 1000 feet of critical off channel habitat for salmon, giving them a quiet escape from the main channel and during high flows.
Help restore crucial river-side forest habitat this Earth Day! Details and RSVP here.
