Learning Our Landscapes: Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe

Take a closer look at the Sequim Bypass sites with Kathy Duncan, Jamestown Tribal Elder who represented the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe at the excavations in 1996-1997.

A total of 134,833 artifacts were recovered from both sites, documenting multiple occupations dating back to the early-to mid Holocene.

In addition to individual artifacts, archaeologists found evidence of pit houses complete with features such as hearths, oven pits, and tool production areas.
