A local festival that attracted thousands of environmentally minded people is getting a new life, spearheaded by Port Angeles Garden Club in collaboration with Peninsula College. The fair, which is free, includes many conservation organizations. It is a family event that will have interesting and fun activities for kids. There will also be a free native plant adoption. The fair will be at Peninsula College Campus.
In addition to the free outside activities, $5 gets you into the Little Theater to hear the terrific lineup of speakers. Headlining this community event are Ciscoe Morris, well-loved ”Garden Guru” as well as Kim Sager-Fradkin, Wildlife Program Manager for the Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe, and Randy Johnson, Habitat Program Manager for the Jamestown S’Klallam tribe. Proceeds from the event will provide scholarships for Peninsula College Students majoring in environmental sciences. More info here.
